Going By Christian Faith in Everyday Life
Are college grads more likely to get married by the age of 30? That’s what a recent study* from the Pew Research Center claims. While that’s an interesting bit of info, one of the reasons backing it is even more interesting.
Things have gotten so hard you want to give up. You’re tired of fighting. Tired of feeling misunderstood. You don’t know why you’re struggling so much. You doubt yourself. You doubt God.
It turns out “patience” isn’t just a word my grandmom used on me when I was a teenager. It is a blessing to have, and for the more impatient among us, it is often an unspoken desire of the heart. 
Something I learned this past week: putting faith in God isn’t a half-in-half-out kind of thing. Did I think it was? No, not really. 
Whenever I get to thinking it’s about me, I suffer. And yet my human nature always wants to make it about me. 
“The devil made me do it.” It sounds like a funny excuse, right?
Looking in the mirror, I see a person who wants everything to be perfect. Who wants to be right. Who knows that suffering brings perseverance, but desires to live comfortably.
