Your heart is racing and it's hard to sleep or concentrate.
Your appetite isn't all there.
You feel weak. Depleted.
I understand all too well.
Because when I battled anxiety in my own life, I looked everywhere for relief. Everywhere I could.
And one day I found it. I found peace.
Not that I never experienced feelings of stress, worry or anxiety again, but for the first time I found a peace that was bigger than affliction.
And it wasn't superficial. It didn't offer band aids or cut off branches from an otherwise rotting tree. It was a healing peace that took over the tree and changed something going on inside it. The Lord waited on me to stop running, and when I turned to him, he healed me. And I continue to cling to that healing touch today when I need it.
And He provides.
If you're suffering with stress, worry, fear or anxiety at this moment, whether it's 2 a.m. or 2 p.m., take a read. Because these things come from a heart that found comfort, strength and courage in the Lord. He is real. And if God could take over my heart, He can take over yours. It will make all the difference in your life.
Here are posts on anxiety, stress, fear and worry. I pray that God's word in them touches you. Heals you. Settles your soul.
You are loved.
